Biography
Ali is a partner in the Corporate & Finance practice and a member of the Payment Systems & Fintech and Emerging Technologies industry teams.
Ali represents technology, payment systems, and related services companies in their corporate and commercial matters, including strategic transactions, commercial contract negotiations, corporate governance matters, and mergers and acquisitions.
A primary focus of Ali’s practice is assisting payment processors, platforms, independent sales organizations (“ISOs)”, payment facilitators (“PayFacs”), integrated software vendors (“ISVs”), and other technology providers draft and negotiate their core customer, vendor, sponsorship, processing, and partnering agreements. With a deep knowledge of the constantly evolving payments industry, Ali helps clients navigate complex contractual issues by balancing business objectives with legal risks.
In addition, she assists fintech companies in connection with their M&A transactions and other strategic alliances, including the acquisition and disposition of operating companies, merchant portfolios, and payment technology assets.
Leveraging her combined in-house and law firm experience, Ali provides business-centered legal advice to help fintech companies make informed decisions and get deals done.
